U cant blame him for trying (and succeeding). Any1 with his freedom curtailed will think of regaining it by any means necessary. its just tt this bugger's escape is causing so much trouble to singaporeans. esp ppl living or working near the tuas or woodlands checkpoints. i can attest to that: the jam from those trailer trucks is so long u have to see to believe it! the traffic congestion affects everybody. horrendous. they scared he hide inside some truck la. pity those poor msian drivers. gotta be stuck in the jam for so long cause of this 1 man. wouldnt wanna be them. oh it somewhat eased up last friday, possibly cause msia election so they let them thru more quickly in anticipation of the increased traffic due to hols starting and ppl going back to vote.

things to think about:
1. qn: dun they have scanners for the trucks to drive through like what they do for containers at PSA?
ans: shipping containers can cause ports use NEUTRON SCANNERS and the containers are lifted mechanically and scanned (i think so). no humans within range of scanner. impossible to do it for the trucks isnt it? u gotta have a driver driving thru the scanner and getting exposed to so much gamma rays. big no no... might be possible to construct a mechanical tow to pull trucks in for scanning but it'd still b too slow and expensive.

2. y the Minister decide to release news of the escape 4 hrs after they knew he was gone? he said he unarmed and didnt pose a threat at that time. Please lor. the surrounding got so many schools and residential area means got many more pairs of eyes than ur all security forces rite? if within 20 mins u inform ppl then will have more pair of eyes help u find rite? how far can a limping man hobble? I know cause i was a cripple once, some might still say i walk with a limp. are all the top brass so lacking in critical thinking? bo bian la. scholars cant think out of the box...

the real truth: Minister wanted to keep it under wraps so that they could apprehend him and put him back and they wun have to release the news and ppl wun know that a big security lapse occurred. u just wanted to prevent ur departments from losing face in case u managed to get him back. poor gamble as it turned out. we know it but as usual, its not something any1 with a brain can put out on the mass media. Its the Gahmen newspapers and tv station what. Everything is on a need-to-know basis.

3. y do they bother looking into forests and wooded areas? so many garang, super-elite military and police units search the entire SG's forested areas still cannot find. MEANS his not there isnt it? change ur tactics man. word on the ground is he is hiding in some HDB flat lor. The Gahmen doesnt have the resources to check every hdb flat. we know it but You cant tell us. u dun want mass panic.

4. at least MM Lee (Lianhe Zaobao, 8 March 2008) was kind enough to remind us that the dude escaped from the toilet. amazing how that fact was erased from all public references after the 1st day. escaping is bad enough, jumping out via a toilet window somehow makes it more embarrassing... he admitted it was a "big security lapse". inference: there will be hell to pay for the guards responsible for letting him go to the toilet and allowing him to climb out from the window... dereliction of duty is something v serious anywhere. even MM said "i'd have to give him full marks for being able to gain the trust of men responsible for keeping guard on him" (my translation from the article). i also applaud him for pulling this off sia.

there must have been a great deal of planning involved. its too much of a coincidence that his family was visting when he went to the toilet (and never looked back). He must have planned a getaway car or made contact with a sleeper cell soon after he limped out. if not how far could he have limped? He needs food and drink and shelter too u know? smart guy man. i respect his brains and opportunism. my speculation is that as a "caged" man, u'd look forward to any possible visit from your family. because he took advantage of the fact that his "detainors" (sounds like a wrong word to use but i cant use the word jailors cause he was technically not in jail and NEVER charged with any actual crime) would construe that having your family visit you would be the most unlikely time for an escape cause its natural to yearn to see your famiy while u are in captivity. marvellous piece of deduction on his part. he gambled and stuck the mother lode.

5. Interpol raised alert for ORANGE to RED. means their assessment is that hes most probably not in singapore liao. The Gahmen cant agree or deny interpol's assessment. if agree means what? with all the effort put into getting him, with all the tightened border security then he still can get out of SG, tts a double whammy (after allowing him to escape) to the relevant depts.

If deny then how? means Gahmen is convinced he still within our borders rite? With the mobilisation of so many men and resources still cannot find one man in such a small and easily fortified island (simple and quick to defend and secure) means there must be some serious incompetence on the part of the security forces rite? either way, its a lose-lose situation for the Gahmen. admit cannot, deny oso cannot. we know it and we sympathise with you on this account.

6. on a sidenote, that Rohan guy seems to be a SG media darling, anything to do with Al-Qaeda, JI, terrorism in general or terrorist oso ask him for quote. like wtf. if he knew terrorists so well,

A. he wouldnt be an academic; he'd be putting his knowledge into reversing terrorism or capturing terrorists out there who are plotting to harm all of us.

Yes i'm leaving my hse to go to the airport in an hours time. going to Denmark, Technical University of Denmark, DTU. Going away for one sem. will be back on 2 Jan... ok i shall try being short and sweet for once.

i'm more or less packed. cant tell you how glad i am to leave NTU this fucked-up place. ok maybe its nt tt fucked up. but BIE as a course is freaking useless. i'll definitely talk more about it when i'm there with time to burn...

I cant fathom y some people can fail to take note of such beautiful nature around them. the above pic was taken just outside LT2 lor... The LT which you hurry by many times every week . LT2 outside actually can make nice nice one. but those buggers dunno how to or cant be bothered. Just need some landscaping man... got my Nikon D80 like almost 2 mths ago. then when i took the cam to sch (6 AUG first day of sch somemore), i dropped my cam and it landed on the lens' edge!!!!!!!! *horror* heng i had a cheapo UV lens filter on and it shattered instead of anything in the lens. i ought to have it checked but well, no time la. i took the above pic and others right after i cleaned up the mess. well it could still take decent pics during my fren's wedding. so i guess its still holding up la...

anyway if i take ugly pics now its more of the photographer's fault la. notwithstanding the budget kit lens (which is v entry level so cant expect much), i've got a decent cam for the 1st time in my life la! will try to take more nice pics when i'm travelling... haha...

wun be having my own com or be online for a long long while. i'm bringing my motherboard and harddisc n dvd drive there la. so i gotta go get a power supply and monitor once i'm over in denmark. the 25% VAT just makes things there real expensive. Cause i HATE laptops. laptops suck. i just didnt want to spend 1.5k on something i'd only really use for 4 mths mah... setting up an open-air system. the true meaning of a desktop PC!!! I'm gonna do it! HAHAHA...

Something to say?

As i'm sure i've said many times already, the only things i like are the greenery and the wildlife in NTU. People and coursemates dun figure in that list (but my ex-roomies do!!). I lived in Hall 2 Blk 7 for the exams. centre room. From my door, I had an unobstructed view of the outside. Esp all those rare birds you dun get in any other populated area in singapore. seen woodpeckers and many other v nice birds. i didnt have the equipment to get their pic... I guess its cause NTU is v near sungei buloh nature park or its lush greenery attracts them. Saw squirrels wrestling each other once too! On tt big tree outside my room! Had many pics of insects... Dunno y, but they like me la. I'm insect and animal friendly. = )

Mr FROG! (ok i dunno if its male. haha.) It was suntanning la. i saw it in the morning in that position then when i walked past it, it was still in tt exact same position la. amazing. i've got an eye for wildlife la. somehow i can just pick them out frm the surroundings even when i'm just walking and not paying attention to what my eyes are looking at.

fyi, its relaxing on the ugly white pipes which make up the "fountain" outside LT2 la. I think tt "fountain" must be for feng shui or something la. if not so many years liao so ugly y still no one wanna take tt space away to grow more trees or something? white pipes rising out of the water. aesthetically annoying. yee. the "fountain" is surround by a pond which is in some weirdo retarded quadrilateral shape la. no symmetry. no beauty in it at all man. yucks. dunno ppl of a certain demographic always like to take photos there lor.

Well i was knee-deep in the "fountain" when i took this. waited for the jetstreams to stop. the lengths (depths rather) i'd go to to take a photo. hahaha...


Posting this ugly pic to show how poor the retarded k800i focus is. the frog is obviously dead-centre, but the optics simply refused to focus on it. Focused on the jet-stream in the background instead. wtf lor. it was in daylight somemore lor. well-lit. the jet was in full blast then. made me wet for nothing.... POS.

shes the most ho mia cat in hall 2 lor. got my roomie n me to feed her. nothing to do tt time she just relaxing lie down on the sofa in the 2nd floor lounge. got fan on the wall blow her somemore. haha.

well my last night in hall i went to feed her la. nanyang mart nvr sell cat food dunno since when la. so i went outside buy premium cat food to feed her la. damn ex sia. one teeny weeny can $2 liao. wtf. n i bought 2 lor. but nvm la. my way of saying sory to her. tt time i accidentally (i swear) stepped on her tail. she always like to walk in between ppl's legs one mah. so there was once i was wearing my slippers then she dunno how walk ard me. i was stepping back then i stepped on her tail. she yelped a v loud meow la. its really saying "Aw!!", just as a human would. felt guilty la. tts y give her good food lor. dunno how she is now. cause blk7 under renovation now. maybe no1 feed her. : ( hope shes not having a tough time with other cats, since cats are also fairly territorial and her regular blk 7 hideout is under reno. well but she can survive one la. tip the garbage bins to find food. shes a cat after all...


PS2! the slim one on top is mine. check out the size difference. just bought it la. its dirt cheap now and still have so many fun games exclusive to it. PS3 now still so ex and no games yet la. having a lotta fun with it! but slim also means it has a high thermal density. if u got one shld keep it well ventilated or get a usb mini cooler for it. it was included in my package la.

i'm saying this for myself: if you need games or an inanimate object to give ur life some purpose, something to look forward to, or something to numb your pain with, you are the ultimate loser la. well i am la. i admit. though i nowadays work come back v tired la. dun game non-stop oso....

My single biggest payout for 1 matchday. The Real Madrid-Levante was the biggest win for 1 game lor. i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw the result in the morning. checked with a few diff sources to verify. = )

Well i think days like Valentine's and Christmas are too commercialised la. U mean on a specific day then u give a gift, be nice to some1 or some ppl meh? I think if you wanna show your care and concern, its more impt to do it everyday. If the other party can feel it then good la. if not then u're screwed. haha. which i think i am. but nvm relaxing. i dun expect anything in return for being nice and helping out my frens.

budden past few days damn sad la. dunno how to describe oso. lim so much then next morn got 0830 lesson. siao one. hai... do you care? hai... hai... been singing all the sad li sheng jie songs every nite. macam concert liddat... hai... the pain just doesnt stop... its wasnt just the holiday mood oso. after cny then 3 days of lessons then 1 wk break liao. Mood... or rather no mood for anything. sian....

Then got so much cb work to do. madness la. tests to study for the term break. u knoe tts y its called a term break lor. its meant to be a break frm going to sch for lessons only. it aint a holiday. nbpcb.................. on top of that then i still have my Jap test to study n revise for. just cant remb all the characters la. argh. no aptitude for it la. but bo bian. now cannot drop the subj liao. then i think i not gonna s/u it cause i need to s/u my URECA! tt one is a real nightmare.... argh...

oh well at least now can stay at hm, slack abit, play some games and do work. i'm not one to go out. i really hate crowds and queues and going out in a big grp. just dun like to see so many ppl la. to me, being able to stay at hm chill, dream, play game n sleep when i want to, is enjoyment enuff. no need to go out spend $ or watever. loner + boring guy = guai kia la. HAhaha...

Yes feb liao means all the TV shows which i dl all resume their runs liao. Prison Break rox to the core though its getting less realistic. its as if the break out wasnt mad enuff. the cons all either dying or surrendering liao. but still interesting. the Scofield character is such a wuss la. doesnt take the necc and decisive action one. just a smart dude with the plan nia. its always like T-Bag which does all the decisive moves that got them tt far.

then LOST. haha. LOST is the number 1 lamer show on planet EARTH la. the only reason ppl like me are still watching is just to see how much lamer the show can get la. this show can go on till season 10 maybe still not over lor. flashbacks all the way and season 3 liao still dun have clear direction or plot. like yo.

The dec hols i was bz doing up the com la. now its quite stable liao. heng. but tts after spending alot alot alot of $$ which made me real broke. it was all a simple 3d card fault, and it made me splurge on things i didnt need at all. its not even an upgrade lor... dulan...

anyway u can see tt the pics taken with the k800i isnt top-notch. 3 Mega pixels but no good. I've always taken pains to tell ppl quality of a pic taken with a camera phone does nt depend so much on the MPs. its got more to do with the electronics and the algorithms the phone utilises. If i were to compare the camera performance of my previous k750i and the current k800i, k750i beats k800i hands down. the most obvious defect lies with the focus. the focusing of k800i is very poor regardless of the light condition, though its not obvious in good lighting. then the focusing of k800i is so damn bloody slow, even after u selected the appropriate mode (e.g. macro, infinity) for the objects distance. like yo. its supposed to be cybershot lei. if u r looking for excellent camera performance frm a phone, u shld pick k750i over k800i. yup...

back to games and work... hahaha... till then...
